Hi, I’m Abram.

I build things,
teach things,
and play a lot of volleyball.

I’m a software engineer, international para-beach volleyball gold medalist, technology instructor, pianist, cancer survivor, and amputee. This is the place where those parts of my life get to live together.

01 / The short version

I like difficult problems, useful skills, and people who care about what they do.

My path has moved through classrooms, woodshops, codebases, customer calls, volleyball courts, and more airports than I can count. The common thread is that I enjoy learning how things work—and helping other people do something meaningful with that knowledge.

I’ve taught students to build robots, marimbas, and pinball machines. I’ve built software that saved teams time and recovered revenue. Today I split my energy between software work and training as a resident athlete with the U.S. Sitting National Team.

02 / On the court

Volleyball is where preparation becomes instinct.

I compete internationally in para-beach volleyball and train with the U.S. Sitting National Team. The sport has given me a community, a reason to keep getting better, and a very direct lesson in how much trust matters when things move fast.

03 / Things I keep coming back to

Build

Software and strange machines

Web applications, integrations, robots, instruments, and anything that rewards curiosity.

Teach

Making the hard part click

I’ve spent seven years teaching technology and still love the moment a complicated idea becomes usable.

Play

Piano, preferably with feeling

I’m classically trained, though the part I value most is learning to listen closely.

Compete

Better than yesterday

The court keeps the feedback honest. Show up prepared, adapt quickly, and do your job for the team.

Let’s talk

About software, volleyball, music, or something worth building.
